What does SMIT stand for?

We are going to give gifted students and young scholars a chance to announce themselves, tell about their advances, and get on the path of developing their carrier.

This is achievable at the Student Conference on Mathematical Modelling and Information Technologies (SMIT) organised by TGT.

Kazan, Russia,
59 Magistralnaya St.,
TGT Technology Center

What does the scope of conference include?

The participants will enter a contest of presenting their most challenging, highly sought and innovative works in how to model physical processes and implement new mathematical methods of data processing.

15-minute presentations will be fairly judged. An exchange of views and discussion of today’s challenges are expected among the newcomers and respected authorities.

  • Job offers from TGT Oilfield Services
  • Publication of abstracts
  • Intellectual Game

What awards winners of the contest will receive?

The winners will receive job offers from TGT Oilfield Services. Other awarding is also included.

The Conference abstracts will be published including key points of the survey techniques presented.

Traditionally, the Conference program includes an intellectual game, which, in turn, allows the participants compete for the title of a "sharp witted and erudite person".

We look forward to the following subjects:

  • Principles of digital data processing,
  • Mathematical modelling,
  • Hydrodynamic and temperature simulators,
  • Well logging,
  • Oil and gas field development and modelling ,
  • Design and introduction of digital data processing systems.
